The epic Hadrian's Wall walk through Britain's ancient history.

This event will not run during 2020.

This is because the current Covid-19 restrictions means we are not able to pre-book hotel rooms

Join us as we follow in the footsteps of Roman legionnaires over rolling fields and wild rugged moorlands covering the entire 84 mile length of Hadrian’s Wall.

Sunday August 2th to Saturday 8th 2020 will be our 18th complete Hadrian's Wall walk.

As the north-western edge of the Roman Empire for almost 300 years, Hadrian’s Wall was it's most famous frontier. Construction of The Wall started in AD 122 on the orders of the emperor Hadrian following his visit to Britain. Although the plans for The Wall appear to have been continually changed, it eventually stretched all the way across Northern England from Wallsend on the River Tyne in the east to Bowness-on-Solway in the west.

We will be walking around 6 to 7 hours per day along the undulating but relatively flat and easy track. Covering 84 miles the path runs parallel to and (in some sections) along The Wall.

Due to there being hardly any hotels along the route we will be staying for the first three nights in Newcastle and the last three in Carlisle. At the end of each day's walk we will be transported back to our hotel and next morning we will start again where we finished the previous day.
